Pädagogische Hochschule Kärnten – Viktor Frankl Hochschule
The UCTE is a post-secondary college for pedagogy and education. It offers teacher training, in-service training for teachers and scientifically founded educational opportunities for persons in pedagogical vocations. Students are also welcome to participate in research work. Due to the UCTE’s location in the Alps-Adriatic region the college focuses on didactics of language learning/multilingualism, global learning, migration and pedagogy of peace. Taking into account Carinthia’s cultural situation as a bilingual region, promoting multilingualism and the mobility of students is a natural aspect of our work.
The UCTE houses a regional Centre for Didactics of Natural Science, which focuses on didactic education and training for natural sciences at elementary and secondary level. The science centre is responsible for the organization and, in cooperation with the Karl Franzens University Graz, also for the tasks of the EUSO 2015.
Furthermore, the UCTE is a centre for outstanding projects in the field of school development. The day-to-day work bases on a concept influenced by Viktor Frankl and his philosophy.
Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz
The Karl Franzens University Graz, founded in the 16th century, is one of the oldest in Europe. From archaeology to experimental physics – the Styrian capital’s main university with six faculties has a lot to offer. Its former medical institutes today form an independent university, the Medical University Graz today.
The Departments of Biology, Chemistry and Physics Education are the scientific partners of the UCTE within the project EUSO 2015. Mixed teams have been working together for more the three years. During this time, there have been several meetings in Graz and Klagenfurt. A delegation of the Karl Franzens University Graz took also part as observers at EUSO 2014 in Athens to get an impression of the EUSO competition.
The department of Physics Education is in close contact with the University College of Teacher Education Styria.

Two experts from this college have also been involved prominently in the task development for the EUSO 2015.
Bundesministerium für Bildung und Frauen
The Federal Ministry of Education and Women's Affairs is responsible for the Austrian school system, women’s affairs and gender equality. The ministry acts is official host of the EUSO 2015. All Austrian ministries are located in Vienna, Austria’s capital city.
Die Lakeside Technologie Privatstiftung
The Lakeside Technology Private Foundation emphasizes on fostering regional development in science and technology, especially when connected to Lakeside Science & Technology Park. Moreover the foundation targets and contributes to projects enhancing science related education with the intention to create sustainable high-tech jobs in the region of Carinthia.
Regionales Netzwerk Kärnten
The Regional Network Carinthia, an association of Science, Mathematics and German language teachers is closely involved in the organizational work all around the EUSO 2015.
